About Us
The Club was originally formed in 1999 by a group of car and motorcycle enthusiasts who wanted to be able to use their classic vehicles competitively and organise social events which could be enjoyed by members and their families. At that time, other local clubs did not properly cater for the more modern classics dating from the 1950’s through to the mid 1970’s.
Currently club rules stipulate that all competing vehicles must have been manufactured before 31.12.1978, or comply with other special regulations stipulated by the Speed Committee. Current club members own a wide range of classic vehicles which need not necessarily be purely for competition. Indeed, there is no club definition of “classic” and owners of more modern cars and bikes are welcomed into the club.
The two main events organised by the club are the Jersey International Festival of Motoring which is normally held over three days in early June and the Festival of Speed, a purely race weekend usually held over the Bank Holiday weekend in late August.
The club’s speed events are regulated by the MSA and ACU. In addition to local Sprints and Hill Climbs, our members regularly compete in France and the U.K. Track days and social outings also feature in our calendar of events.
